Contest Guidelines

  • Anyone from the U.S. is eligible.
  • Photos must be tasteful.
  • A high-resolution photo is required. The image must be well-lit and sharp (not blurry or fuzzy), and only the entrant should appear in the photo.
  • The entry round for PETA's Cruelty-Free Makeover contest ends on November 24, 2010, at 12 noon EST, and the voting round to help PETA decide a winner begins on November 29, 2010, at 12 noon EST. Winners will be announced on PETA.org by 12 noon EST on December 15, 2010. Two winners (one male and one female) will each be awarded Kerin and Aveda prize packs.

Cruelty-Free Makeover Contest Details

The fine print:

The Cruelty-Free Makeover contest will be broken down into two rounds: entry and voting. To enter, contestant must submit a photo and complete the required form. If the photo is appropriate, it will be promptly added to the list of online entries. Don't worry—only your first name, the city and state where you live, your photo, and a one-sentence description about you will be posted on our website. Entries must be received by 12 noon EST on November 24, 2010.

During the voting round, people will vote for the worst-dressed nominees to help us decide who needs a makeover the most. All voting during the second round must be completed by 12 noon EST on December 13, 2010.Winners will be chosen a based on how many votes they receive and who has the tackiest outfit.

One male and one female winner will be announced and notified by December 15, 2010!

Each winner will receive cruelty-free fashion from Kerin (a $250 gift certificate) and select skin-care products from Aveda (estimated product value $250). Also, winners will be featured on PETA.org for everyone to envy.
