Lisa Gersbach, Animal Control, Texas Lisa witnessed horrific conditions and unthinkable acts of cruelty in a Texas shelter and rallied for outside help. She literally risked it all for the sake of the animals. She is an incredible hero.

My Mom has done so much: raising me vegetarian, starting the 1st spay & neuter clinic in our county, naming our spca, fighting for more $ for our spca & stricter animal abuse laws & punishment. now she has great dane rescue.

I also take every chance I get to inform others around me of what's really going on inside the walls of slaughter houses. I always use those opportunities to me advantage to spread the word and promote animal rights.
